Holiday Sponsorship Information for the STF Website
The Holiday Sponsorship program allows individuals, groups and businesses in the community to sponsor our client families for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. Many of our client families would not be able to afford a Thanksgiving Dinner or Christmas presents without the help of our generous sponsors.
To sponsor a family for either Thanksgiving of Christmas please call our Holiday Sponsorship Hotline at 480-898-0228 ext. 240 and leave a message with your contact information. A Holiday Sponsorship volunteer will return your call within 2 business days.

- Can I sponsor a family for both Thanksgiving and Christmas?
Absolutely! Sponsors can choose whether they would like to sponsor a family for
Thanksgiving or Christmas or both.
2. How will I know that my family received their gifts?
You will receive a Thank You card from the family that you sponsor.
3. How much will a Thanksgiving sponsorship for a family cost?
Approximately $50.00.
4. How much will I spend on my family for Christmas?
Families are asked to keep their “wish lists” reasonable. A Christmas
sponsorship will generally cost around $45.00 per family member. .
5. What is an In-Kind form and why is it important?
The In-Kind form is very important to Save the Family because it allows us to keep track of volunteer hours,
which can be helpful in applying for certain funding grants. The In-Kind form is important to the
sponsor because it serves as a receipt for tax purposes.
6. If I leave a message on the Holiday Hotline, when will it be returned?
Your message will be returned by a Holiday Sponsorship volunteer within 2 business days.
7. Why do I need to put my items in a laundry basket or clear plastic box?
Client families can use the baskets or boxes in the future and using them makes delivery
much more manageable for the Save the Family staff.
8. Why is it important to stick to my assigned delivery date and time?
All Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets and Christmas Packages are dropped off at Save the Family delivered to our client's homes on the same day during our scheduled drop-off and delivery days. This is a big undertaking and requires precise scheduling. If you run into a conflict with your scheduled drop-off time please call the Holiday Sponsorship Hotline at 480-898-0228 ext. 240 as soon as possible to arrange a new time.
9. Where will I go to drop off my Holiday deliveries?
All Holiday deliveries are dropped off at the Save the Family administrative offices, located at
450 W. 4 th Place, Mesa, 85201.
10. Can I meet the family I'm sponsoring?
Most of the client families in the Save the Family program come from a
background of domestic violence. Consequently, client confidentiality is of the
utmost importance and Save the Family policy prohibits holiday sponsors from
meeting their sponsored families. You will receive a personalized thank you card
from your family that in most cases will include a picture of the family.
