Financial Needs
The cost of homelessness affects us all--no matter where we live. Families who are not helped to overcome the emotional and physical issues that arise from homelessness often end up in the criminal or government assistance system which results in a much higher cost to taxpayers and society. In order to meet the growing demand for our services, we must expand our contribution base. Because we are a community-based agency, not an international organization with huge overhead, individuals and organizations can be certain the money that is donated here, stays here to benefit the communities where we work, live and raise our own families.

"I've audited a number of different nonprofit agencies, but Save the Family ranks as one of the most fiscally responsible. While most nonprofits typically engender administrative costs of 15% to 20%, Save the Family's administrative costs have consistently averaged between 5% to 10% each year. I think that's really a testament to the staff, volunteers and Board of Directors who invest many hours of their own time, skills and resources."
