P.A.L.S Program Pre and Adolescent Life Skills Program

The Pre and Adolescent Life Skills Program (PALS) designed to meet the specific needs of the pre-adolescent youth aged 10-17. Participants are offered structured recreation and courses in life skills training as well as tuition for community-based activities. The program encourages belonging, develops trust, educates youth on non-violent conflict resolution, and fosters a sense of responsibility to self, family and community. The goal of this program is to help at-risk youth avoid the negative behaviors such as criminal behavior, drug use, gang involvement, and teen pregnancy.



PALS courses are taught by a degreed staff member experienced in working with at-risk youth under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor. Courses include but are not limited to Domestic Violence Support, the Breakable Vow, Reading and Recreation, Teen Cooking, Community Service and Volunteerism, Building Achievement Through Sports (BASE), Camp Build Up, Teen Photography, Summer Enrichment, Tutoring, and Boys and Girls Groups. Tuition funding is also made available for youth to engage in community/school activities such as sports, music lessons, and summer camp.
